“Glow with the Flow” is an interactive public art installation that aims to educate and inform the public about sustainable drainage practices and water management as a part of Hong Kong’s blue-green infrastructure. The installation symbolises the process of rainwater harvesting and disinfection from collection, contamination to filtration and repurposing through three main steps which are represented by three major lighting sections. Powered by a handle as it turns, energy is generated to light up the recycled glass tubes. The man-powered lighting does not consume non-renewable energy and promotes emission reduction. It also engages the public in an enjoyable experience.
